IntoductionBuilding Better Home Builders Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of the Builder Benefits Program, an exciting new program that is being offered to homebuilders and manufacturers. This program is designed to make homebuilders more profitable and to help increase the build-quality of their homes; and to benefit manufacturers by increasing their access to markets and providing them with a path for relationship-building with smaller homebuilders. We anticipate complete representation across Canada by the end of next year. Benefits to manufacturersProcurement: We will create a stronger link between you the manufacturer, and the homebuilder. Annual trade shows give manufacturers an opportunity to showcase their new and exciting offerings. Attendance at these forums by member builders will allow them to truly understand the value-add of manufacturers’ products and support services—what formerly took many meetings over many weeks can now be appreciated in a day or two. Cost Management: Manufacturers will see marketing costs reduced as they utilize our one-source network of members to promote product information. Access to our internal and external portals will be available 24/7. Your sales and marketing investment will be easily verified as our members select more of your products. Communications: Up-to-date product developments and marketing initiatives will be available to members through our internal and external communications portals. Links to manufacturer websites will be available on our website. Our consulting branch will help the builder and supplier streamline their technologies to speed up the communications process. Marketing: Co-operative marketing efforts between the manufacturer and builder help potential homebuyers with their most important decision. Your product information—accessible to 370 smaller homebuilders in Ontario alone!—will be in Design Centres and brochures, keeping your products in top-of-mind awareness throughout the home buying process. Simplified Administration: Our member builders will enter purchase and product data from existing records into a web-based application, and we will submit the volume purchase data to the manufacturer for rebate processing. Benefits to homebuildersProcurement We believe that up to date product information and preferred member pricing will make the annual tendering and overall procurement process easier for homebuilding staff. An annual trade show will give homebuilders an opportunity to experience all of the new and exciting offerings from our associated manufacturers. This will allow our member builders to best understand the value add of manufacturers’ products and support services in a day or two, what would normally not happen with a smaller builder or could take many meetings over many weeks. Cost Management The builder will benefit from our negotiated discounts and rebates. Communications Our members will be kept current on product developments and marketing initiatives through our internal and external communications portals. Our consulting arm will help the builder and manufacturer streamline their technologies to speed up the communications process. Manufacturer product information will be accessible to all member builders with one stop at the BBHB web site! Project management and scheduling With our system applications from procurement to hand-held PDA’s in the field we can keep the manufacturer, its retail partners and installers more in tune with progress at the site, thus getting product into the new Marketing Manufacturer product information will be in Design Centres and brochures, keeping your products in top-of-mind awareness throughout the home buying process. To assist homebuyers in making those important decisions regarding options and upgrades, co-operative marketing efforts between manufacturers and homebuilders will be a useful tool to market the sale. We will negotiate group marketing programs to increase your marketing efforts at reduced costs. Member benefits Our member builders will realize more profit from reduced costs and improved efficiencies in procurement. Should they lose a supplier, we’ll have an approved “trusted” supplier ready to help complete the material supply on time. The homebuilder does not have to submit separate forms to multiple manufacturers for eligible rebates. To reduce workload and administration, we deal with the manufacturers on your behalf! Existing distribution channels and working relationships with suppliers and distributors is maintained and improved. As our goal is to make our member builders more profitable, they are free to use associated suppliers, or not. Associated manufacturers and their retail partners are under no obligation to service all of our members. If you are well represented in some areas and would like to focus on select markets, you have that freedom, too.
